The "ALL NEW BAMMY'S" takes diners through the BOLD and authentic Caribbean flavors of Jamaica and Trinidad mixed with an infused splash of Chinese cuisine. We're here to bring the most authentic Caribbean vibe and experience to Navy Yard, along with exceptional service and enjoyable and memorable dining experiences.
Our food is inspired by our experiences traveling throughout Jamaica, Trinidad, and Barbados, and by our team’s own personal ties and general love and appreciation for Caribbean food and its culture. Our namesake, the bammy, is a vegan/gluten-free/nut-free cassava root “flatbread,” is a staple in Jamaica.
Soaked in coconut milk and fried until perfectly golden brown, a bammy is the perfect vessel for absorbing all of the flavors on your plate. Which is what Bammy’s is all about: soaking up delicious meals made with love, and time spent with family and friends.
Bammy's Executive Chef Peter Prime hails from Trinidad along with owner, Bernard Gibson who has deep Jamaican roots and 25+ years in restaurant management, making for an unstoppable team.
